Installation

This add-on is a one-click install (via the BigCommerce app store).

Installing SalesSwitch is quick and simple:

1. Add the app from the BigCommerce app store with one click
2. The app automatically adds its script to your store
3. Set up account relationships by configuring two customer attributes:
    • "Manager Code" - A unique identifier for manager accounts
    • "Managed By" - Links customer accounts to their manager


Setting up accounts


In order to give users to ability to switch-between sub-accounts, you'll need to set up some customer management relationships.

  • Manager users (a.k.a. super-accounts) will need a manager code field to identify as managers.
  • Managed users (a.k.a. sub-accounts) will need a managed by field, which will contain the manager code of their manager.

These fields can be added to your BigCommerce 'edit user' pages manually, or by clicking the 'create' buttons on the settings page of the SalesSwitch app.

Once configured, manager accounts will see an account switcher button in your store's interface. This allows them to:
    • View all their assigned customer accounts in a sidebar menu
    • Switch to any customer account with a single click
    • Place orders on behalf of customers
    • Switch back to their manager account anytime
