Advanced Settings

Advanced Settings let you disable the app, manage BigCommerce webhooks, restrict access by IP when the app is disabled, and view or update checkout extension details. Open Advanced Settings from the app sidebar.

Disable App Completely

When on, the app is fully disabled. Fee calculation and app UI are turned off for the store. Webhooks are updated to reflect the disabled state.

When off, the app runs normally.

Use this to temporarily turn off all order-fee behaviour without uninstalling the app. Note that this will not remove any already-existing fees from customers or orders.

Webhook Management

The app uses BigCommerce webhooks for order fee processing. If webhooks are missing or misconfigured, fees may not be applied correctly.

  • Check Status – Verifies which webhooks are registered for your store. Use this to confirm configuration after install or if fees stop applying.
  • Reinitialise Webhooks – Recreates or updates the required webhooks. Use this if Check Status shows problems or you experience issues with fee processing.

Changes to webhooks (e.g. after reinitialise) are saved when you click Save Changes at the bottom of the form.

Enable for IPs when disabled

Only visible when Disable App Completely is on.

When the app is disabled, you can optionally allow the app UI to load only for specific IP addresses. Add one or more IPs (e.g. your office or VPN). If the list is empty, the app does not render for anyone while disabled.

Use this to test or configure the app while it is otherwise disabled for customers. Default is empty.

Store API Token Secret

A read-only field showing the secret token used for API access between the app and your store. Do not share this value. It cannot be edited in the app.

Checkout Extension ID

The checkout extension ID is used to trigger checkout refreshes so updated fees appear without the customer reloading the page. It is usually set automatically during app installation.

  • Manual edit – You can type or paste an extension ID into the field if you need to correct or override it.
  • Fetch from BigCommerce – Calls BigCommerce to find the app’s checkout extension and fill in the ID. Use this if the ID is missing or wrong.

Save the form after changing the value so it is stored.

Saving

Click Save Changes at the bottom of the form to apply your settings. For webhook changes (e.g. after Reinitialise Webhooks), saving ensures the updated configuration is stored.
